As a 31 year San Carlos resident I am saddened and disheartened at our city council’s decision to install fake grass at Heather School. Some members of our community need to understand that life does go on without endless youth sports. Wanting the ability to play 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rain or shine, seems a bit extreme to me. I understand the field is unsafe. Here’s a thought: RE-DO THE FIELD WITH NATURAL GRASS!!!! Is not getting to play a game on a particular day because of rain really worth sacrificing an all natural field? Apparently to our city council and soccer families, it is. Such a shame.
