Two New Starter Homes Hit the Market
I have two new listings on the market today. Both are San Carlos starter homes: 1983 Brittan Avenue and 365 Old County Road. My listing on Rosewood, which I posted last Friday, sold with nine offers last night. As has been discussed over the last six weeks on the San Carlos Blog, the San Carlos market has been on a hot streak.
1983 Brittan Avenue
This two bedroom, one bathroom home has many energy-efficiency benefits. In 2008, a 2.9 kilowatt system was professionally installed by Marin Solar. The system includes 14 high-efficiency solar panels on the roof and a SunPower 3000 power inverter at the east side of the house. The system generates 5000 kilowatt hours per year. This is more power than needed by current occupants, making this home a net energy producer. Beginning in 2011, PG&E is required to buy back excess power generated by anyone who produces more energy than they use.
Price: $729,950

365 Old County Road
This three bedroom home includes a separate family room and a private, spacious backyard. The home has been nicely remodeled and landscaped. Additional features are a newer roof, San Carlos schools and walking distance to downtown San Carlos.
