That’s not a dog, that’s a bear!
Thanks, Brad. It very well may have been. “Alfie” spent the next few years knocking me over every chance he got.
Bob
Thanks for the memories, our whole neighborhood was crazed that morning.
I remember it well – I was 15 and a student at San Carlos High School. What a beautiful site to wake up to that day. My folks were from New York and got a kick out of the excited reactions from the San Carlos residents!
You look just like Lexi…or vice-versa.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Simply Fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing the great video
Hi Bob,
I remembered when it snowed back then and even took a few pictures of the snow in the front yard. Thanks for being my realtor this past summer in selling my house. WhAt an ordeal/experience!! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Does anyone remember when it snowed on a Sunday in San Carlos during the late 1950s or early 1960s?
What a wonderful memory captured on film! Thank you for sharing…you and the dog are too cute!
Bravo, Bob!
Now surely everyone remembers the lesser but still shocking snow we had about 5 years ago? I came home from a trip at night and saw snow on the bottom of lots of cars’ windshields and thought “gee, did all these folks just come home from Tahoe?”. I was able to gather a few snowballs from my front yard.
Thanks Bob. This is a real treat! I’ll bet the San Carlos Museum would love a copy for the archives!!
CUTE!! let it snow, let it snow…
In 1963 it snowed -I made a snowman with my dad. In 1976 I was a junior at San Carlos High and it snowed again. The swimming pool at Brittan Heights was not yet completed so Jeff Krier, Kerry Bruton, Matt Von Wronski, Beth Ichelson and I went ice skating on the sheets of ice that had formed on the water that was in the hole right by the recreation center that is now the swimming pool. There was snow on the ice! We had snowball fights while we were ice skating. It was wild! The snow did not melt off until late afternoon. Then we all went to the Canyon Inn for lunch. We were muddy and the owner still let us in and served us.
