Good-bye Virtual Tours!
The title of the post pretty much says it all. What you are about to see is completely revolutionary to the world of real estate sales. Say good-bye to virtual tours. Welcome to the world of 3-D photography. This revolutionary technology will allow anyone around the world to see your listed home 24/7 from their computer or mobile device and they will feel as if they are in your home at an open house. A Silicon Valley company named Matterport has unveiled the technology to a few well respected photographers. I am very proud to announce that I have entered into an exclusivity agreement with John Valenti Architectural Photography for his services in creating a 3D scan such as the one you will see at the bottom of this post. John Valenti is one of the most talented photographers in the Bay Area and a pioneer with the Matterport technology. Moving forward, all of my listings in San Carlos will be shot by JVAP in 3D.
Why It Matters
Realtors will tell you that one of the most frequent comments we get at open houses centers around buyers trying to figure out ahead of visiting the property, from photos and virtual tours, what floor plans look like. It can be confusing. Additionally, San Carlos has become a destination for substantial relocation. Many realtors doing business in San Carlos have clients trying to relocate here from different parts of the country. Given how fast our market is moving, many are forced to get on an airplane to simply visit one open house. This technology will change that. While nothing can substitute the experience of visiting a property first-hand, this is as close as it gets.
Ready to see it live? Once you click on the link below, you will be able to guide yourself around the entire house by clicking in the direction you want to go. Additionally, you can take a floor plan view or a dollhouse view in the lower left-hand corner. It will take a you a few minutes to get used to it, but once you get the hang of it you will see just how valuable it can be. Click here to view a sample San Carlos home (it will take about 30 seconds to full load).
